A charitable housing association set up over 50 years ago because homes matter, we merged with East Thames at the end of last year. Our new organisation manages more than 90,000 homes across London and the South East, making us one of the largest residential landlords in the capital.
We are a multi-award winning property developer, receiving a number of accolades for our homes, including ‘Housing Association of the Year’ at the What House Awards and ‘Best Regeneration Project’ for The City Mills at the prestigious National Housing Awards. We make a lasting difference to whole communities by tackling vast regeneration schemes that transform neglected areas of London.
We’re passionate about providing homes for Londoners and we build homes for people on a range of incomes. We offer options including outright sale, Shared Ownership, London Help To Buy equity loan, intermediate market rent (IMR), affordable rent and private rent.
To do all this we employ over 1,400 members of staff who ensure we deliver excellent service to homebuyers and tenants, and in 2013 we were proud to win the Great Place to Work award for ‘Best Large Workplace’.
We continuously create new homes across London for the full spectrum of the capital’s residents. Our current house-building portfolio ranges from collections of individual family homes to significant regeneration schemes of several hundred apartments. Some of these major regeneration schemes include the Haggerston West and Kingsland Estates in Hackney, key phases of the Aylesbury Estate in Southwark, and the South Acton Estate in Ealing. These projects provide hundreds of high-quality homes for existing and new residents.
Our community investment programme is funded through the L&Q Foundation. Established in 2011 to help communities, we have invested £1.5 million a year to improve people’s chances in life by creating opportunities and developing innovative projects which tackle disadvantage and social inequality. In 2015 we are boosted our community investment through the L&Q Foundation to £7 million a year.
